Governance & Compliance
CanDale operates as a prime contractual counterparty within formal public-sector and institutional procurement environments. Governance and compliance are embedded into our operating model to ensure accountability, traceability, and alignment with applicable procurement, legal, and ethical requirements.

This page describes our governance posture and assurance framework, not detailed execution processes.
Governance Framework
We maintain a governance framework designed to support controlled execution, clear decision-making authority, and accountability throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key governance principles include:
-
Clear ownership of contractual obligations and outcomes
-
Defined authority for decision-making, escalation, and corrective action
-
Separation between delivery execution and contractual accountability
-
Documented controls to support oversight and auditability
Governance responsibilities are retained by CanDale as the prime counterparty, regardless of how delivery activities are subcontracted.
Subcontractor Oversight and Controls
Where subcontractors are engaged, they operate under contractual and governance controls defined by CanDale.
Oversight includes:
-
Assessment and onboarding aligned with scope, jurisdiction, and compliance requirements
-
Clear performance expectations and reporting obligations
-
Defined escalation and remediation mechanisms
-
Authority to intervene, suspend, or replace subcontractors where required
Subcontractors do not contract directly with the buyer, and accountability for oversight and outcomes remains with CanDale.
Compliance and Eligibility Assurance
We apply compliance and eligibility considerations throughout engagement and delivery to align with institutional and public-sector requirements.
This includes, as applicable:
-
Eligibility and sanctions screening
-
Review of jurisdictional and regulatory constraints
-
Verification of required accreditations or authorizations
-
Ongoing compliance oversight during delivery
Compliance obligations are assessed on a per-engagement basis and applied proportionately to scope and risk profile.
Ethics and Conduct
We expect all parties engaged under our contracts to adhere to standards of ethical conduct consistent with public-sector and institutional procurement norms.
This includes:
-
Prohibition of bribery, corruption, and improper influence
-
Expectations regarding conflicts of interest
-
Respect for applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations
Where concerns arise, we retain authority to investigate, escalate, and take corrective action
